Bastar Samajik Jan Vikas SamitiHealth and Nutrition
BSJVS is working hard to reach geography of the state where people are suffering from diseases like Malaria, Tuberculosis, HIV/Aids, Communicable Diseases like Blood Pressure, Diabetes Mellitus, which lead to severe illnesses like Stroke, Paralysis and also the cause of their Death. With auspicious support of CG State AIDS Control Society, we are involved in targeted intervention and making a dent towards reaching out to the vulnerable and targeted community via a variety of activities and interventions including IPC Sessions, Mid media, Counselling, Testing and Referral to ICTC. Our core focus area is Female Sex Workers (FSW), Migrants Labourers, Truck Drivers and Link Workers. We also conceptualized and initiated an innovative solution and created a well-trained cadre of ‘Sangwari’s’. They are tribal women who provide basic primary health care services, initial diagnostic services, doctor consultation and necessary drugs through Telemedicine services to their community. All the services are charged to enhance their livelihood and earn a income to become entrepreneurs. Partnered with GFATM, we have been working in 448 villages of Sukma, Bijapur and Narayanpur District to eliminate the Malaria in the remote’s areas of the region. These regions are highly affected with LWS and deprived in Health, Education, Connectivity and Development.
Child Protection & Education
We passionately advocate for Child Protection, their rights, their education and their nurturing ; along with the assurance of the holistic and overall development of Children. Partnering with State Women and Child Development and overall guidelines of Central Adoption Resource Agency (CARA) , we secure the orphaned and abandoned children aged 0 to 6 years in Dantewada District. Where we provide Nutritional Diet, Healthcare, Growth monitoring and preschool education services in the best interest of resident children. We operate a short-stay facility with a monthly capacity of 25 boys aged 6 to 18 years in Jagdalpur, Bastar District. This facility caters to various marginalized groups, including homeless individuals, runaways, orphans, victims of substance abuse, victims of violence, and differently-abled children. Our main focus is on the Rescue, Relief and Rehabilitation of Children in Need of Care and Protection (CNCP). We have operated CHILDLINE 1098 services for the past 12 years to develop and manage CIF, a 24×7 emergency free phone outreach service linking Children in Need of Care and Protection (CNCP). We organized Awareness sessions among Children regarding their Rights, Protection, Education, Child Marriage and details of POSCO act.
Skill Building, Vocational Training & Livelihood
We believe Financial Empowerment is a key to Societal Development. We are dedicated to equipping individuals with the skills, tools and resources they need to succeed economically, uplift their life and their family. BSJVS partnered with MSME, Rajiv Gandhi Foundation, FVTRS to facilitate low interest loans for those seeking to start small business and enhance the skills to build careers for achieving financial stability. Our comprehensive training programs focus on skill development, entrepreneurship, empowering young aspirants, married women to build their own paths towards success. Through this livelihood programmes we actively generate employment opportunities driving economic empowerment and fostering a financially strong society.
Community Capacity Building
Our main motto is to work with the community and for the community. Partnering with the Child Fund of India we not only focus on the Children but the overall development of the community. The project focuses on the Sustainable Development, Women Empowerment, Employment Generation, Livelihood, Health and Hygiene, Adolescent, Education of the community. Another supporting partner in the field of Community Capacity Building is UNICEF, through its Chhattisgarh Panchayat Network for Children (CG-PANCH) platform presently works with 1852 Panchayats of the entire Bastar Region. The Panchayati Raj Institutions representatives ‘Sarpanches’ are the heads of the third tier of government as per constitution and they can bring about change in the lives of children and women in their gram panchayats with better knowledge and capacity. The organization ‘s always work for the welfare and enhancement of the community and makes efforts in the upliftment of vulnerable and marginalized society.
